Forestry Division

Responsibilities


The Forestry Division is responsible for the planting and maintenance of all trees within the street right-of-way, in village parks, and all other village owned properties. We also plant and maintain landscape and annual flower beds along village streets and parks.

National Recognition


The Village of Howard has been recognized by the Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree City USA community for the 25th consecutive year for its commitment to urban forestry.

The Village has also received the prestigious Tree City USA Growth Award 8 times for demonstrating progress in its community forestry program. View the requirements for a community to be bestowed the Tree City USA recognition.
