Important information for the Nov. 3 election

Know-before-you-Go_edited-1

Due to concerns from Bay View Middle School parents and the Howard-Suamico School District’s new student safety and school security protocols, the Village of Howard has eliminated the school as a polling location, effective immediately. Meadowbrook Church, located at 701 Hillcrest Heights, has been added as a new polling place.

Considering voter turnout within the respective wards and the different sizes of the four available polling facilities, additional changes also have been made. All of the residents who voted at Bay View Middle School now will vote at Green Bay Community Church. Residents in Wards 7-8, who previously voted at Community Church, now will vote at Meadowbrook Church. Residents who voted at Village Hall and Fire Station #2 will not see any changes.

Howard residents will now vote at the respective polling locations:

 · Wards 1, 2, 9, 10, 11, 12 13, 14, and 18 at Green Bay Community Church, 600 Cardinal Lane

· Wards 3, 4, 5 and 6 at Village Hall, 2456 Glendale Ave.

· Wards 7 and 8 at Meadowbrook Church, 701 Hillcrest Heights

· Wards 15, 16 and 17 at Fire Station #2, 4165 Shawano Ave.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, residents should wear masks and practice social distancing if they choose to vote in person. Another option is to vote by absentee ballot. You can register to vote, view a sample ballot, order an absentee ballot, and find your polling location online at https://myvote.wi.gov. Absentee ballots may be mailed, brought to the office, or placed in the outdoor drop box at: Howard Village Hall, 2456 Glendale Ave., Howard, WI  54313. All absentee ballots must be returned to Howard Village Hall by 8 p.m. on Nov. 3 to be counted!
